Museum of Oslo (Bymuseet), in collaboration with Lift Every Voice and PLATTFORM – Institute for Prevention of Radicalization and Extreme Violence, invite you to a reflective dialogue about masculinity in light of race, identity and power.
Researcher Baba Amani Olúbánjọ Buntu will present findings from a new study on how young black men in Norway express themselves on digital platforms. The program also includes a panel conversation about obstacles, possibilities, and challenges in relation to African masculinities. The audience is invited to share their own experiences with the roles of men based on their own cultural references.
Contributors: Abidbasid Mohamed (psychologist), Chimaobi Ahamba (mentor), Jelsen Lee Innocent (conceptual artist), Michelle Tisdel (social anthropologist), Tshivuma Kambayi (activist), and Victor Kimathi Mati (creative artist).
All are welcome. The program will be conducted in English. The event will be streamed.
